A few ideas we explored for the plaza in front of the Standard High Line. They include a wave, a spinning eclipse, a canopy of arches and a really big curtain.

We wanted to achieve two goals in each of the ideas: to give the plaza a personality and therefore a reason for people to hang out, and to design a place for people, rather than just another icon. From the Whitney up to the Vessel, the neighborhood is not short on buildings trying to out-icon each other.
